Local Wilds is a photography project dedicated to documenting the natural beauty that exists in our own backyards. Every wetland, forest, prairie, and preserve tells a story worth sharing.

Too often, we overlook what's nearby in favor of distant destinations. This project aims to change that perspective — to show that remarkable landscapes and wildlife can be found within miles of where we live.
